This beautiful fall day lent itself to an excellent Post Turkey Day Ride & Hike, coordinated by Jonathon LaRoy through the forums at mtbr.com. DuPont State Forest was alive with all those who had come out to work off their turkey dinners. Woody Keen and his team from Trail Dynamics were out there as well, working up a storm in an effort to finish there work around Bridal Vail Falls. Our group was allowed to test out these new trails and all agreed they are an excellent addition to the area. With the name under debate, the annual Monster Lobster, otherwise known as Mobster Lobster, was held at the Kentucky Lake Saturday, October 7, 2006 with a crowd of around 40 family and friends of Rick and Becky Fields. Each year the festivities bring good times, hearty drinks and excellent food, this year was no different with a jam pack weekend of entertainment. The festivities began Friday night with a Spaghetti dinner hosted by Lee and Bonnie Ayers. After a day of recovery and relaxation, Saturday night brought about the main event “Monster Lobster”. Concluding the weekend, a kettle breakfast was served Sunday morning. To see pictures from the entire weekend click here.
